The competitions will start on the 22nd and 23rd of April.

No games on 1st and 2nd of July for school holidays.

Grand Finals will be on the 27 and 28th of August.

 

JUNIOR WINTER COMPETITION

Our association has four (4) junior age groups which we run across Thursday and Friday nights from April through August. All of our juniors games are played in a mixed format.

Under 8's is a quarter field game played with 15min halves on a Thursday evening, generally starting from 6pm.  Coaches remain on the field with the players to provide support and guide development. There are 6 players per team on the field. 

Under 11's is a half field game with 20min halves played on a Thursday evening, generally starting 6:40pm.  Coaches are also on the field with the players to provide support and guide development in this age group.  There are 8 players on the field including a padded goal keeper.

Thursday night competition is non-competitive with no points or finals.  The goal is to promote skill development and enjoyment of the game.

Friday night is when juniors begin competitive play. We have Under 13's and Under 16's.  Both are played on a full field with Under 13 (11 players) and Under 16 (9 players) including a fully padded goal keeper.  Juniors in this age group compete in a finals series in August/September. 

Within these competitions the following local clubs participate:

 

Each club will support registration through Hockey NSW for the 2021 season and each have their own fee schedule for players. 

 

Most clubs encourage you to have a try at a training night and see which club fits for you.  Each of them are different and have players from all over the area (not just their named suburbs), but all work together under Nepean Hockey Association.

 Under 8’s - Schedule

  • Games start at 6.00pm.
  • 15 minute halves with a 5 minute half time break.
  • Coaches to Coordinate and Umpire games.

           

Under 11’s - Schedule

  • Games start at 6:45pm.
  • 20 minute halves with a 5 minute half time break.
  • Umpires for games will be rostered on a weekly basis.  One umpire per game.

  • All games start at 6:30pm
  • 25 minute halves with a 5 minute half time break
  •  Team Managers to run game sheets and monitor times, as no Ground Marshalls will be in Tech Bench area.

           

Under 16’s - Schedule

  • All games start at 7:40pm
  • 30 minute halves with a 5 minute half time break
  • Team Managers to run game sheets and monitor times, as no Ground Marshalls will be in the Tech Bench area.
