Coaches are lined up and the skills sessions are scheduled to provide our juniors with the opportunity to participate in pre-season training to develop, refine and enhance field hockey skills.
We as an assocociation are working hard to build the opportunities available to our juniors to improve skills across many development levels to increase the quality of our playing competition and the teams we send away to state championships to represent the quality and skills our association offers.
These sessions are open to all juniors who will play with Nepean Hockey Association in 2020. At the sessions we group children together to support age and ability levels to provide the best possible opportunities for development therefore it is appropriate for all ability levels.
If you have not yet registered your child please do so using the following links:
Please note the cost of $60.00 per child comprises of the $2 per session fee and the cost for a JDS singlet. Singlet stock has been ordered, however it would be helpful to indicate your child's standard size to ensure we have sufficient stock on hand for the children participating to avoid delays in supply.
We additionally have had many parents express a want for representative training opportunities to start earlier - this is that option.
Our representative coaches have expressed an expectation that all players who would like to represent in the 2020 Nepean Representative teams at the various aged state championships will participate in the JDS to improve on core skills, develop expectations of game play and participate in pre-training sessions with their likely team mates in the representative teams. Following the end of the JDS we will roll straight into representative team trials. If representative coaches do not see sufficient numbers participating in the JDS it will give the association an indication of suitable squad numbers for each age group and whether we have the capacity to nominate a team.
We are looking forward to another fantastic installment off the back of last seasons success. If you have any questions please contact on juniordevelopment@nepeanhockey.com.au
